About J100CODERS Club
The J100CODERS Club provides after-school software and robotics learning programmes in communities and schools. The Club engages young people between the ages of 8 and 21 years old in the productive use of computer technology. By mimicking STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) educational concepts, we improve the ability of young people in Africa to solve real life problems. We also provide them with the opportunity to bring to the real world the adventures they see in their dreams, whilst using process-thinking logic to enhance their understanding of academic course work.
By teaching children and young adults to design, create and program computer software, games and smart electronic toys, robots and other useful computer systems we aim to offer a complete application of functional mathematics, physics, creativity, problem solving, and communication skills.
Our learning activities are designed to stimulate innovation, initiative, exploratory learning and, in doing so, enhance each member's learning skills and improve their understanding of academic work.
Our Ambition
J100CODERS Club's ambition is to positively influence the teaching approach of ICT in schools across Africa. We want to make it practical, fun, logical and adventurous. We want to encourage and increase the productive use of computer technology among young people by the year 2025.
Our Mission
J100 Coders’ mission is to engage young people, between the ages of eight and twenty one years old, in using computer technology productively while stimulating creativity, critical thinking and giving rise to inquisitive minds. We encourage exploratory learning, support individual initiatives and celebrate every little success.
